Backplate of armor, iron, black. Around the neck opening, two black leather bands that can be attached to the breastplate, with a smaller leather strap above each band that must be attached to the shoulder plate. Around the head opening, black rivets. Parallel to the arm openings, a double decorative line. At the bottom of the backplate, a narrow waist belt, which is studded with rivets. Above the flanged edge, a double decorative line. In the waist belt are two small holes and a larger hole. On either side of the waist belt, two riveted straps with iron buckles. The inside of the backplate is black; below the neck opening is the city mark of the city of Amsterdam.
