Silver commemorative medal. Obverse: illuminated by heavenly light, the personification of the Netherlands, depicted as a helmeted woman, and the personification of America, depicted as a woman with a feathered headdress, holding a sword and shield with thirteen stars, shake hands above a burning altar; the Netherlands holds a liberty cap on a spear above the head of America, who has broken the chain with which she was bound to a leopard lying at her feet, within legend; section: inscription. Reverse: exhausted unicorn with broken horn, lying at the foot of a steep rock, within legend; section: inscription.
