About this work

Sword with iron hilt, consisting of an ornate pommel, knuckles, side knuckle, quillon which divides into three parts at the front and back (somewhat resembling a horseshoe). The grip is wrapped with iron wire. The ricasso embraces the blade. A-jour guard plate. Double-edged blade, engraved on both sides with 1414 and a running wolf.
