About this work

Sapper's saber ca. 1820, with scabbard and belt. Copper hilt. Five-sided quillon with two knobs. Semi-circular knuckle guard, light-colored. Single-edged iron blade (partially blued?). Black leather scabbard with copper upper and lower bands. On the upper band a copper carrying strap, to which a white leather belt with copper buckle and swivel is attached. Two slots cut into the inner side: 1825.
