About this work
Model of a rudder and rudder post with a section of the keel and the aftermost posts. The wooden rudder blade has two rudder stocks, rests on the heel of the keel, and is fitted with an openwork rudder cap, on which the brass rudder head is attached. The rudder cap has two eyes for the gudgeon. The rudder head is round and attached to the rudder post with an extra finger ring; the stuffing box has a brass packing for the rudder head. The rudder head is square and the iron rudder pintle falls over it.
