About this work
Model of a 'plattehands' anchor without an anchor stock. Both hands are mounted parallel to each other on an axle, which runs through the anchor crown and on which they rotate. The flat front of the hands does the work of the anchor stock and forces the points of the hands downwards. The model has a harp at the end of the shank and one at the crown, and a double shackle around the shank. Scale 1:10 (estimate).
