About this work
Model of Hawkins' patent anchor. This anchor has no ordinary stock; this is replaced by a short stock set at right angles to the cross of the arms. The arms and stock rotate together in the forked end of the shaft, forcing the stock into the ground; the stock is brought into the correct position by a rope attached to a harp at the anchor cross, with which the anchor can also be lifted. The arms lie in the same plane as the arms. At the top of the shaft is a harp. Almost identical to NG-MC-608-A.
