Model of a Ship Camel

Construction model of a ship's camel, the starboard half of a pair. The skin is omitted, so the construction and layout are visible. The hull is rectangular, adapted on one side to the shape of an inserted ship's hull. The model has three levels: bottom, middle deck, and upper deck; inside it is divided by watertight bulkheads into six compartments. On the middle deck aft is a cabin, with a decorated window and a chimney for the galley; the back can be opened with two gates. The model is fully detailed with twenty-three pumps in two rows, twenty windlasses with ropes led through chutes to the underside, twelve scuppers to flood the camel, two crane beams, a capstan, a capstan aft, and twelve hatches. A rudder at the back.
