About this work
Construction model of a small ship's camel, on a baseboard. The skin is omitted. The rectangular hull has a flat barge-like bow. The camel has sixteen pumps in two rows, two capstans and two capstan bars, a crane beam at the bow, and four scuppers below deck, operated with lever-like keys above deck, to flood the camel. In the middle, a piece of a mast is set against the two aft rudder irons, but only one broad rudder has been preserved.
