About this work

Frame model with rigging on a stand. Smooth-sided double-banked barkasse, round-frame with flat sheer and flat stern; a foredeck, five hatches and spars, and an open cabin with side hatches. The stem is coppered and fitted with a plate. Three-part frames. Simple rudder with a tiller that fits over the rudder head. The rigging consists of a large mast with yard for a square sail and a mizzenmast with parrot stick and sprit. The barkasse is armed with a carronade on a loose sled, which extends from stem to stern, and is equipped with cargo gear. Loose parts also include a hand pump, a boat hook, and twelve oars. Scale 1:20 (derived).
