About this work
Model of the disengagement of the crankshaft of a paddle wheel, on a baseboard. The crankshaft and wheel shaft are connected by a coupling piece, a so-called sleper or swivel link, which allows for some misalignment of the shafts. The sleper can be taken apart and the piece on the wheel shaft rotated a quarter turn, so that the crank pin becomes free and the crank with the crank pin can rotate unhindered. Scale 1:10 (derived).
