About this work
Model of the disengagement of the crankshaft of a paddle wheel, on a baseboard. The crank pin falls into a hollow bush in the eye of the crank of the wheel shaft, which can be unscrewed and removed, thereby disengaging the shaft. With each stroke, the crank pin then moves freely through the slot of the wheel crank, which has been left open at the location of the bush. Scale 1:10 (derived).
