About this work
Model of a ship's galley for the main deck, painted black. It is a simple cube with iron walls, standing on legs with a hole to be screwed into the deck. The galley has double doors with a slide and lock. The floor has two levels, slightly higher at the back than at the front; at the front is a grate with movable iron bars. The roof is sloping with a chimney at the back. Inside, hooks are attached to the walls to which chains can be hung.
