About this work

Model of a kiln, entirely painted white, consisting of the oven part and the chimney, incomplete. The oven part is provided on the outside with lattice work and can be taken apart into two halves to show the internal passages. On one side is the firebox, with a grate and a small access; on the other side, a larger opening provides access to the oven where the objects to be heated are placed; the doors are missing. The firebox and the oven form one room, separated only by a level difference; the hot air and smoke come directly from the firebox into the oven and are returned on the other side via two descending passages to a passage that leads them under the room to the chimney.
