About this work
Rigged frame model without sails of a sloop, on a baseboard. It is a single-masted yacht with a ketch stern, twisted transom, flat sheer and flat counter. The model has a deck, cockpit, cabin and forepart. The broad rudder with curved tiller is attached by a rod through thimbles to the rudder and stem. The sheer is almost flat, the model has a barkwood. The smooth-sided hull is a peaked round-framed with high keel, grooved longitudinally. The model is rigged with an oval mast with topmast, gaff and boom, and a bowsprit; on the deck a overhang. Remains of textile in the hold suggest it was originally rigged with sails.
