Model of a Boyer

Rigged model of a single-masted flat-bottomed boat, a barge. The model has a deck and a cabin, parts of which can be removed. The cabin is entirely paneled inside and has a poop deck on top; the well has benches on the sides, a small quarterdeck. The bow is round and decorated with suns and scroll motifs, the stem is coppered. The stern is decorated with foliage and floral motifs, a falling sternpost; a broad triangular rudder with a decorated rudder head and wooden tiller. The sheer rises at both ends, a bark keel, leeboards. Three-part frames, different construction in the forepart. Overlapping planking above the waterline, smooth planking below. The rig consists of a stowable mast with a curved top, a gaff and long boom, a bowsprit; a traveler for the mainsheet on the quarterdeck.
