About this work

Rigged hollowed-out block model of a single-masted overlapping-planked flat-bottomed boat, incomplete. The model has a deck and a cabin, the roof of which can be removed. The cabin is entirely paneled inside and has a poop deck and a pyramid-shaped skylight on top; behind the cabin a well and a very small quarterdeck. The bow is pointed with a strongly falling, straight stem. Pointed stern, broad rudder with wooden tiller. The sheer rises forward, no bark keel, leeboards. The model has a windlass, deck hatches, a boat hook, a hand pump and an oar. It has a gaff rig with sails and bowsprit; a traveler for the mainsheet on the quarterdeck.
