About this work
Rigged hollowed-out block model of a two-masted flat-bottomed boat. Parts of the deck can be removed to show the below-deck storage. Round bow and stern, strongly falling sternpost; wide rudder with tiller lamps, decorated rudder head, and wooden tiller. The sheer rises at both ends, one oak plank, two leeboards. The model is equipped with two anchors, a cooking spit, four water casks, a chimney for the galley, two oars, two pumps, two accesses, and a large hatch. The rig is a one-and-a-half-masted gaff rig without sails, with bowsprit and papegaai mast. Scale 1:20 (according to Obreen).
