About this work

Model of a 30-pounder cannon on a sight stand on a pedestal for instructional purposes. The wooden barrel, 80 cm long with a caliber of 52 mm, is cut lengthwise so that it can be opened to study the bore inside. The two halves are held together by brass bands. The cannon has a breech elevation and a sight on the front trunnion band; at the rear is a cascabel ring with a cap and the grape is flat. A muzzle plug is in the muzzle. The sight stand is equipped with a sole plate and a leveling wedge. Scale 1:3 (estimate).
