Seal stamp of Cornelis Tromp

Oval copper stamp with a thick twisted wooden handle with a flattened head, black wood. The stamp surrounded by a triple pearl border. The shield has four quarters and a hand in the center, above the shield a helmet, above that a lion with a crowned lily in its paw. On either side of the shield a griffin with a small shield on its shoulder. Below a scroll with the motto: FORTES CREANTVR FORTIBVS.
