Barrel of a percussion rifle captured on Lombok in 1894

Barrel of a percussion rifle, European with Indonesian or Indian ornaments; smooth, round barrel, which transitions into an octagonal section at the chamber. On the right side of the chamber is a percussion chamber (the percussion pan is missing). On the front part of the barrel is a front sight bead. On the underside of the barrel is a long flat strip, with a recess on the narrow side for the ramrod and two ramrod holders; the whole is attached to the barrel with bolts. Originally entirely blued steel. The muzzle, the flat strip, the ramrod holders and the chamber are inlaid with copper in the form of flower and leaf motifs, meander band and the year 1801.
