About this work
Headgear of black leather with a silk flap. Attached to it a flat fire-gilded button with anchor (so-called "clear" anchor), yellow loop, orange leather cockade. Hanging horsehair red plume, to which label with no. Roosdorp 105 A and NM 10385. The edge of the hat is bordered with black leather. Front of headgear with copper plate on which in an oval a crowned W, surrounded by flags, two crossed clear anchors, two cannon barrels and cannonballs. Around rim corpus a black lacquered ribbon. Interior two yellow metal lips. From the corps Mariniers 1830-1831.
