About this work
Steel, slightly curved rectangular pouch, open at the top, covered with black lacquered leather. Leather accolade-shaped, all-around stitched flap with strap. On the flap, a fire-gilded copper grenade. The flap extends at the back into a piece of all-around stitched leather, fixed at the bottom with a white metal button, with a white metal eye on the left and right. The inside of the cartridge pouch is lined with black leather. On the left of the flap is an octagonal label with no. 39 pasted on.
