About this work

Sash of orange (twisted) cord silk in the technique of Egyptian plaiting. At both ends fringes. Attached to the sash is a piece of rectangular parchment with text and blind stamp and with two holes with white ribbon. Bottom left remnant of a red round wax seal. Back side red oval wax seal. Sash worn by L.H. Paravicini di Capelle, 1st Lieutenant in the 9th Infantry Division, fallen at the Citadel of Antwerp on 23 December 1832.
