About this work
Metal cross Volunteers 1830-1831 with four bronze arms. On the front, a crowned W surrounded by oak leaves on the left and laurel leaves on the right, which overlap beneath a crowned W. On the upper arm the word VRIJWILLIG. On the back of the cross, an inscription on each arm: top "TROUW AAN", right "KONING", and left "VADERLAND". At the top, a ring to which a green-orange ribbon with three vertical stripes is attached.
