About this work
Cavalry helmet or mantel helmet with a double visor. The right side of the lower faceplate has air holes consisting of a rectangle crowned on both sides with a circle. In total, there are seven such decorations. With snap buttons, both visors can be held up. The helmet has a crest. The lining is largely still present and probably nineteenth century. The riveted articulated neckplate consists of two parts, the lower one edged with a cable decoration.
