About this work

Bronze four-armed cross with round shield on suspension loop, suspension ring, and ribbon with six vertical green-white stripes. Obverse: two dates separated by a stripe within an oak and laurel wreath; on each arm the inscription: VRIJWILLIG / W. Reverse: crowned W within an oak and laurel wreath; on the upper arm the inscription: TROUW / AAN / KONING / EN / VADERLAND / 1830 / 1831. Dated reverse center: 1830 / 1831.
