About this work

Oval medallion, liver-coloured, showing in white the bust of a man in profile facing left. He wears his hair in a queue. Richly decorated jacket with a cloak with a wide collar. With the ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter. Simple coromandel wood frame diagonally inlaid with ivory. Reverse: two holes one above the other; maker's mark; white in colour.
