About this work

Pistol, part of a pair(?). Barrel: The front, round part of the barrel has a profile ring at the muzzle and is separated by a profile ring from the octagonal rear part. Lock: Flint battery lock. Flat lock plate and hammer. On the rear part of the lock plate and profile in width. The pan with pan cover has facets; pan cover with striking surface, having round forms in cross-section at the top and front. The lock is secured with two screws. Wood: Walnut, English stock. Fittings: Brass: flat backplate with convex outlines; trigger guard, which widens towards the middle and has a simple geometric motif in low relief at the front; butt cap which tapers to a point at the top of the stock neck.
