About this work

Helmet, morion of iron, black, made of two halves with a hanging flap ending in a point at the front and back. The helmet bowl has fourteen vertical ribs. On the point of the helmet a copper knob with copper ornaments running vertically down the helmet bowl between the ribs. Decorative line around the helmet bowl and around the base of the helmet bowl with yellow-copper rivets. The edge of the flap is flanged and has iron rivets around it. Originally, cheek pieces were attached to the inside of the helmet bowl. The interior of the helmet is painted black.
