Breastplate of iron cuirass

Breastplate, iron, painted black, made of two plates, with rounded flanged arm and neck openings; at the level of the arm openings two copper rotating hooks and copper buttons for attaching the shoulder straps. On either side of the neck opening two pins. Straight central ridge, with a small bulge at the bottom. In the center of the breastplate a copper star surrounded by copper rivets. Parallel to the flanged edge, copper rivets and double decorative lines. The belly collar is riveted to the breastplate and has four drilled eyes for attaching the thigh plates. Parallel to the upper edge of the belly collar, copper rivets. Double decorative lines above and below the rivets. At the bottom of the belly collar, four round holes. The inside of the breastplate is painted black.
