About this work
Cavalry helmet, iron, bright, made of two halves. On the helmet bowl sits a cabled point with a movable star beneath it. Vertical cabled strips extend from the point to the base of the helmet bowl. Small flaps on the front and back. Double rows of yellow copper rivets around the helmet. Twelve small holes in the rim at the back, four at the front.
