About this work
Flamboyant candlestick, five-part with a wide-flaring circular foot with two egg-and-dart mouldings. The candlestick has a baluster-shaped stem or trunk with a disc-shaped knob at the bottom, a concave grease bowl with egg-and-dart, a baluster-shaped stem and a cylindrical candle holder with two round holes, intended to remove the candle stubs, and at the top an egg-and-dart. Casting burrs are visible in the egg-and-darts. The candlestick has a crowned rose as a quality mark.
