About this work

Black boxwood profiled broker's stick with a silver cachet on both sides; on the thick end the crowned coat of arms of Amsterdam supported by two lions, on the other end the letters MKLRSG surrounded by a pearl border. Marked: on the rim of the large cachet: crown above "B". On the rim of the small cachet: same. Inscription: on the rim of the large cachet: Jan Mooij. Dated: on the rim of the large cachet: Ao. 1737.
