About this work
Percussion pistol, part of a set, with an octagonal rifled barrel. The stock is of walnut and has a diamond-grooved grip; under the stock, an iron butt plate with an incised star motif. The barrel rests in a half-case of walnut. The iron lock is flat and has engraved floral motifs on both sides. The hammer is also engraved. At the end of the belt hook, a grooved notch for the thumb. The trigger guard is of iron and has floral decorations along its entire length. Under the case, an iron ramrod. On the barrel, the Liège mark E.L.G.
