About this work

Flintlock pistol, part of a pair. Octagonal blued rifled barrel with a quick-release mechanism. On three faces of the barrel, a figure consisting of three gilded lilies (?) placed 1,2 on the top face. Between the lilies: EX and a gilded running animal, a dog or sheep, facing right to left. The ironwork is blued. Iron sight bead. Round blued lock plate. Two engraved side plates. Grip of the stock with carving. From the 1st lieutenant of the Amsterdam Mounted Civic Guard, Jhr. J.C.G. Fabricius van Leyenburg.
