About this work

Flintlock pistol with round, smooth barrel. Brass lock plate and iron cock with flint. 'ST. ETIENNE' and an 'L' with a crown above it on the lock plate. The stock is wooden, the butt plate is brass with an iron screw in the center. An iron ramrod in a brass tube is attached to the lock plate next to the barrel. The trigger guard is brass, attached to the lock plate with two screws; the trigger is iron.
