About this work
Cavalry saber, presumably Batavian Republic, lieutenant of the 1st and 2nd Regiment of Dragoons 1802-1806. A guard, straight quillons with pommel and two rhomboid side bars. Grip with leather and braided copper wire. The blade is decorated with engraving. On the back 'Henry Küschers et fils'. Wood and leather-covered scabbard. Ear band and iron drag plate. Middle band has no carrying ring. Upper band with carrying ring. From General Du Rey.
