About this work

Standing sword for sea officers M 1824. The blade partially blued, gilded engraved, one side inscription of crowned W and letters F and K. The hilt of brass and on the counter-guard two crossed anchors. The grip is covered with mother-of-pearl. With black wooden scabbard with brass bands and hook. The crossguard is broken, signed. Worn by Vice-Admiral A.A. Buijskes.
