About this work
Tinderbox with copper rectangular lockplate and wooden diamond-grooved stock. The cock is of iron and has a round pin on the head that can be screwed to clamp the flint properly; the flint is of iron and hangs above a round opening where the tinder was placed. The base of the tinderbox is of iron and has two legs on which the tinderbox can rest; the base has a round hole with three smaller holes above it. The trigger is of iron and has a small bend so that the finger has better grip.
