Flintlock Pocket Pistol with Battery Lock

Flint pocket pistol with battery lock and a round, screw-off barrel of bright steel, with a raised narrow band on the rear part serving as support for the key with which the barrel is screwed on. The chamber is connected to a square section containing the lock mechanism. On the left side of the chamber is the mark: X, LG, and E above each other. (Test mark of Liège). Lock: Battery lock; the lock mechanism is housed in the square section behind the chamber (English: Box-Lock). The hammer, pan, and pan cover with striking surface are in the middle of the top. The trigger can be rotated so that it is flush with the bottom of the lock case. When cocking the hammer, the trigger rotates back out. The sides of the lock case are engraved with leaf and flower motifs reduced to geometric forms; at the bottom a vine motif. Behind the hammer is a sliding pin which, when slid over the back of the hammer, acts as a safety mechanism.
