Deceptive peace proposals of Louis XIV

Silver medal. Obverse: Louis XIV sitting on a chair under which a snake crawls, fishing with a rod to which a paper with the inscription PAX hangs on the Dutch, who are warned by Minerva. In the midst of the Dutch stands a man with a lily on the back of his jacket and snakes on his head, within a legend; section: inscription. Reverse: hand with a sword, wrapped in a banner with inscription and illuminated by heavenly light, liberty cap and Bible lie on an altar with a bundle of arrows on the side; laurel branch with snake between leaves falls to the ground.
