About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: a large number of people welcome Peace, floating in clouds with a cornucopia and olive branch; in the background the town hall of Utrecht within an inscription; lower section: inscription. Reverse: Britannia with her genius holding a laurel wreath above an altar, on which lie three crowns and whose base bears six coats of arms; opposite her Europe prays accompanied by a bull with hands raised to the heavenly light, in which the Hebrew name of Jehovah is written within an inscription; lower section: inscription.
