Silver medal. Obverse: pillar with bust of William I in a medallion; on the pillar a smoking censer with two snake rings around it; in the background the fleet of the Geuzen and the bombardment of Spanish ships from the city of Vlissingen within inscription; rim: inscription. Reverse: Liberty, depicted as a helmeted woman with a hat on a spear, trampling Superstition, depicted as a blindfolded young man with a sword; in the background a woman with a drawn sword and yoke, representing Tyranny within inscription; rim: date.
