About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: helmeted Minerva with a spear, next to which an olive branch sprouts, holds a ribbon to which four coats of arms are bound; at her feet the shield of Medusa within a legend. Reverse: King of France in a robe decorated with fleurs-de-lis sitting on a throne, which stands on a platform decorated with fleurs-de-lis, points to a coat of arms with thirteen bands, which is being hung by a woman on a pillar crowned with a liberty cap within a legend; section: year.
