About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: an inattentive woman with a bundle of arrows in her hand, representing the Netherlands, sits on a throne and does not notice the approaching (English) unicorn and the (Austrian) eagle; she is protected by a hand from the clouds with a lily shield within a border. Reverse: Mercury has set his staff against a pillar, to which he hangs two coats of arms with a ribbon within a border; section; inscription.
