About this work
Silver medal. Obverse: Van Goens, in Roman dress, resting on a hand cannon, receives a medal from a helmeted woman with spear and shield, representing the Confrerie; in the background, between them: seated on a cloud, winged Time with scythe in left hand and holding a laurel wreath above the head of Van Goens with right hand; on the left: pyramid crowned with a burning heart, around which a snake hangs with the letter C inside within an inscription; lower edge: signature. Reverse: inscription under a crowned coat of arms on two crossed palm branches, at the top a goose hanging on legs, two crossed hand cannons, hammer, bell, etc.
