About this work

Silver medal. Obverse: Minerva with plumed helmet and spear holds a wreath above the head of a marksman leaning on a rifle with her left hand and presents him with a medal with her right hand; left: Aegis and banner; right: pyramid crowned with a burning vase, from which hangs a crowned coat of arms, and whose base carries a target within an inscription; base: inscription. Reverse: crowned falcon with head to the right, holding a ribbon in its beak from which hangs a crowned coat of arms and holding a target with two crossed rifles in its claws within an inscription; base: signature.
