About this work

Brass oval medal on a suspension loop and ring. Obverse: standing on a globe, Mary tramples snakes lying on the ground, with rays shooting from her hands, within a two-line inscription. Reverse: a man with a halo facing left holds a quill under his chin in his raised right hand; before him a crucifix and a stack of paper on a table within an inscription.
