About this work

Copper medal. Obverse: bust of a man within an inscription. Reverse: mourning woman with an anchor, representing the Netherlands, seated beside a crowned post to which a lion's skin and a bundle of seven arrows are attached; at the foot of the post, a cow and a ship's stern hang within an inscription; section: ornamental motif.
